"Sunday Afternoons Kids Play Hats for Kids:You've all heard experts warn that up to 50% of skin damage from sun occurs before children reach the age of 18. We want to make it easy for you -- these hats are the very best we have found for protection, fit and fun. Each hat features a full brim that continues around the sides and back for cheek, ear, and back-of-the- neck protection. The brim is foam filled, not cardboard, so it holds its shape after getting wet when paddling or in a pool -- and they float! Mesh panels provide for air circulation and moisture release in the child and youth sizes, the dark underbrim absorbs reflective light for eye comfort and the elastic back provides custom sizing for comfort. The child and youth sizes have a chin strap with a cord lock so they do not blow off in the wind! Do not fold these but you can roll and pack flat! Sizing and Head Measurements: To measure your child's head, circle the crown of their head with a string or dental floss (above eyebrows and ears).
